...is an independently owned business, run by it's founder Nicoletta Pongan-Kirby

Nicoletta has been working within the High End Luxury Retail Jewellery Industry for 30 years, and for some of the most renowned names in the World of Jewellery. 

Nicoletta's love for pearls started 20 years ago, when she worked for the very well known Japanese fine pearl jewellery company “Mikimoto" on New Bond Street London. It was there, where Nicoletta learned the skill of pearl stringing to a high degree of Japanese standards.

During these last 20 years Nicoletta had continued to work throughout the retail Diamond and Antique Jewellery  industry, 

while maintaining her stringing services.

Although still very much involved with the jewellery industry, Nicoletta now holds her full time office and workshop in North London, with the exception of a couple  of days in the week to visit her clients for collections and deliveries.

Where loyalty runs strong in the Jewellery Trade, it is a known fact that some established retail jewellery companies will have their own long standing working jewellers and stringers, BUT! sometimes we have an emergency job that can't wait and needs to be dealt with promptly. 

Everyone need's a Plan B for when our working Jeweller falls ill, or takes their holiday. It happens to us all!

Built up of multiple layers of Calcium Carbonate (Nacre), the skins of Pearls are porous and can become damaged in time by the absorption of alcohol based perfumes and hairsprays. To avoid discolouring, and spoiling the natural luster and orient of your pearls, allow for any hairspray, perfume or body lotion, to settle on your skin for at least 1/2 hour, before wearing your pearls.

Do not shower or bathe in your pearl strands, or bracelets, as the water will wet the silk they are strung on, and the silk will swell and stay damp inside the pearls, collect dirt, stretch and eventually break. Keep them stored in a soft pouch or box, protected from other metal jewellery that can scratch them. You can wipe your pearls gently with a soft damp cloth, being careful not to pull the strand loose. Pearls are happiest when being worn, as their luster improves and maintains by the natural oils from your skin, so enjoy wearing them!
